Katarina is an Interpreter and Translator, accredited for EU institutions (working as a Freelance Interpreter since November 2015). Originally from Bratislava, Slovakia, she has been interested in languages since childhood days. It therefore comes as no surprise that after having attended a French bilingual high school, she went on to study French and English language and literature at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. Willing to become a Translator and Interpreter, she then enrolled on the European Course of Conference Interpreting, at the end of which she successfully passed the accreditation tests for freelance interpreters (or ACIs) for EU institutions.
After that, she did a translation traineeship in the European Parliament in Luxembourg. Katarina currently divides her time between interpreting for the EU institutions, working as a self-employed translator and interpreter. In her free time she loves to read, watch movies and travel.
